ABOUT THERAPY
TRANSFORM HOW YOU RELATE
Life’s challenges often show up most strongly in our relationships — with partners, family, colleagues, friends, and, perhaps most importantly, with ourselves. When old wounds are triggered or familiar patterns repeat, it can feel confusing, overwhelming, or deeply painful. You may find yourself longing for healthier, more fulfilling connections but feeling stuck in cycles you can’t quite shift. If this resonates, you’re not alone. Many people come to therapy carrying the weight of past experiences that continue to shape how they relate, respond, and protect themselves.
I’m Rusne Fokiene, a therapeutic counsellor offering one‑to‑one integrative therapeutic counselling in Ipswich and online across the UK. I specialise in helping people understand and transform the relational patterns that influence their lives. My work is grounded in the belief that healing happens through awareness, connection, and the courage to meet yourself with compassion. At the heart of this process is the possibility to find inner peace — not as a distant ideal, but as a lived, embodied experience that grows over time.
In our work together, we explore the relationships that shape your emotional world, including:
-
Family dynamics and long‑standing relational wounds
-
Romantic relationships, attachment patterns, and emotional intimacy
-
Workplace and social relationships, including boundaries and communication
-
Your relationship with yourself — self‑worth, inner dialogue, and emotional landscape
These areas often hold the roots of our struggles, but they also hold the seeds of transformation. When we understand why we react the way we do, why certain situations feel threatening, or why we repeat patterns that no longer serve us, we begin to reclaim choice. We begin to soften. We begin to breathe again.
My approach blends relational depth, somatic awareness, and practical therapeutic tools to help you create healthier, more fulfilling ways of connecting with others and with yourself. Together, we’ll gently uncover what holds you back, explore the emotions beneath your reactions, and develop new ways of relating that bring clarity, resilience, and emotional freedom. This is not about forcing change; it’s about creating the conditions for change to naturally unfold.
TRANSFORMATION
Counselling offers a safe, supportive space to understand yourself and your relationships more deeply. Through open dialogue and guided reflection, you’ll explore the patterns of thought, emotion, and behaviour that shape how you relate to others. As your awareness grows, you’ll begin to shift unhelpful dynamics, strengthen boundaries, and cultivate healthier ways of connecting. This process empowers you to heal past relational wounds while creating new patterns rooted in clarity, compassion, and emotional balance.
A key part of this journey is learning to find inner peace — not by avoiding discomfort, but by developing the inner capacity to meet life with steadiness and self‑trust. Inner peace is not a constant state of calm; it is the ability to return to yourself, to feel grounded even when emotions rise, and to hold your experiences with gentleness rather than fear. As you reconnect with your body, your needs, and your inner voice, you begin to build a relationship with yourself that feels safe, supportive, and whole.
